419 Ministries exists to glorify God by raising up men who will preach the Word, make disciples, and influence culture with biblical truth. Our faith and practice are rooted in the historic, orthodox teachings of Scripture, and we joyfully affirm the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith as a faithful summary of biblical doctrine.
What follows is a brief expression of what we believe, written in our own words and spirit.
We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the inspired, infallible, and sufficient Word of God. They are the final authority for all faith, doctrine, and life. The Bible reveals God’s glory, exposes man’s sin, and points to salvation in Christ alone. Nothing should be added to or taken away from it.
“All Scripture is breathed out by God…” (2 Timothy 3:16–17)
We believe there is one living and true God—eternal, infinite, and unchanging—who exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each is fully and equally God, sharing the same divine essence and glory, and working harmoniously in creation, providence, and redemption.
“Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts; the whole earth is full of His glory.” (Isaiah 6:3)
We believe God created all things out of nothing for His glory and upholds all things by His sovereign power. His providence extends over every event, great and small, ensuring that all things work according to the counsel of His will.
“For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things.” (Romans 11:36)
We believe God created mankind, male and female, in His image and likeness to glorify Him and enjoy fellowship with Him. Through Adam’s disobedience, sin entered the world, and all humanity fell under guilt, corruption, and death. We are by nature sinners, unable to save ourselves apart from God’s grace.
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)
We believe Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became fully man while remaining fully God. Conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, He lived a sinless life, perfectly fulfilling God’s law. By His death on the cross, He bore the wrath of God and paid the penalty for sin. He rose bodily from the grave, ascended to heaven, and now reigns as Lord and Mediator. Salvation is found in Him alone—by grace through faith.
“For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.” (1 Timothy 2:5)
We believe the Holy Spirit regenerates the hearts of sinners, bringing them to repentance and faith. He indwells believers, sanctifies them, and empowers them for godly living and gospel witness. The Spirit also illuminates Scripture, unites the church, and seals believers for the day of redemption.
“Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us… by the renewing of the Holy Spirit.” (Titus 3:5)
We believe the universal church is made up of all who are united to Christ by faith. Local churches are visible expressions of that body, organized under biblical leadership for worship, teaching, fellowship, and mission. Christ is the Head of the church, and His Word is its rule. The ordinances of baptism and the Lord’s Supper are given to the church as signs of faith and fellowship in Christ.
“Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her.” (Ephesians 5:25)
We believe salvation is by God’s sovereign grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. Those whom God effectually calls are justified, adopted, sanctified, and kept by His power until the end. True faith produces repentance, obedience, and perseverance.
“He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.” (Philippians 1:6)
We believe those who are in Christ are called to live holy and obedient lives by the power of the Spirit. Every believer is called to grow in grace, to serve the body, to make disciples, and to bear witness to the truth of Christ in every area of life—including home, work, and culture.
“Whoever says he abides in Him ought to walk in the same way in which He walked.” (1 John 2:6)
We believe Jesus Christ will return bodily and visibly to judge the living and the dead. The righteous will enter eternal joy in the presence of God, and the wicked will face eternal separation and punishment. Until that day, we live in hopeful anticipation, proclaiming the gospel and laboring for His kingdom.
“Even so, come, Lord Jesus.” (Revelation 22:20)
While the above serves as a concise summary of our convictions, 419 Ministries gladly affirms the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith as our doctrinal standard. We believe it faithfully expresses the teaching of Scripture and provides a tested foundation for gospel ministry, discipleship, and cultural engagement.
